Crispy Chicken Wings à la KFC (No Breading)
Ingredients (for approx. 1 kg of wings):

1 kg chicken wings

1.5 tsp baking powder

2 tsp chicken seasoning
-
1 tsp sweet paprika
-
1 tsp salt
-
0.5 tsp black pepper
Additionally: 1 large sandwich bag or zip-lock bag
Preparation:
1. Prepare the wings
Wash and pat the wings dry with a paper towel.
Then cut each wing at the joint into smaller parts – drumettes and wingettes.
2. Seasoning in a bag
Mix all the spices and baking powder in a small bowl.
Place the wings in the bag, pour in the spice mix, and shake well until evenly coated.
If some wings are not fully coated, feel free to add a bit more of the spice mix or quickly prepare some extra and toss it in. Mix well – and you’re good to go!
3. Baking
Place the wings on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
Bake at 220°C (top and bottom heat) for 30 minutes, flipping the wings after 15 minutes.
4. Resting
After removing from the oven, let the wings rest for 10 minutes – this helps the skin become even crispier.
